Our mission
The Institute aims to contribute to the consolidation of the response to situations of crisis, emergencies, and violent conflicts through the analysis of these realities and the responses given to them. Its work focuses on the dissemination of knowledge, incidence, training, and technical assistance with non-governmental organizations, public institutions, academic actors, as well as the citizens themselves. To this end, we set ourselves the following objectives:
- Promoting debate and research on humanitarian and peacebuilding issues, especially in the Spanish-speaking world.
- Deepening the knowledge of international experiences in the matter and, in general, stimulating exchange and dialogue with other centers and entities.
- Collaborating with the various actors in the preparation of positions, strategy documents, evaluations, and policy design.
- Consolidating the position of the IECAH as a reference center in the Spanish State in humanitarian and peacebuilding matters.

Transparency
At IECAH we take accountability for our activities very seriously. For this reason, each year we publish our annual report, where we collect all the activities carried out along our four lines of work as well as the breakdown of the economic figures of the Institute. All this with the greatest interest in demonstrating to our donors as well as to users and collaborators the origin and destination of the financing to comply with the highest ethical standards required of a civic and humanitarian organization such as ours.
