Training

In a sector where added value lies in people, training is of fundamental importance for the quality of our work.

Through the Training Area, the IECAH wants to respond to a demand from the general public, international cooperation professionals, and organizations (NGOs, administrations, and companies). To cover all these needs, the Institute’s training offer covers a wide range of topics, depth levels, and course formats. The organization of our training activities is articulated around complementary methodologies, balancing the theoretical components (“master classes”, round tables…) and practical components (case studies, role play…).

From 2007 to the present, IECAH has developed numerous online training actions in its Virtual Classroom, campusiecah.org, based on the popular Moodle platform. This commitment to new knowledge technologies completes the training offer, giving it even more flexibility and practicality with long, medium, or short courses.

What types of training programs do we offer?

  • Tailor-made programs for various agencies and entities (NGOs, AECID, DG ECHO, etc.) on fundamental humanitarian issues.
  • Open training programs that raise issues that revolve around the different basic humanitarian skills: communication, quality initiatives, project management, regulatory framework, monitoring and evaluation, and accountability (Core Humanitarian Standard, Sphere Project, etc.).
  • Teaching in university and postgraduate modules. The IECAH team teaches in numerous master’s degrees, postgraduate courses, and specialization courses organized by Universities and other institutions.
  • In modalities: face-to-face, semi-face-to-face, and online.
