IECAH concludes six editions of the 2025 training courses for volunteers of the European Solidarity Corps

IECAH successfully completes six editions of the in-person training courses for candidates to humanitarian aid volunteering within the European Solidarity Corps. Throughout 2025, more than 140 participants have taken part in these sessions, taking a decisive step towards their future experiences as volunteers in different parts of the world.

Held at the Sagrados Corazones residence in San Lorenzo del Escorial, the training sessions have provided a space for learning and exchange, addressing key topics such as project management, interculturality, security, and the gender approach.

«I value the opportunity to reflect on the contradictions and ethical dilemmas within the humanitarian sector itself, through real debates and practical examples.» – Participant MA21

«I leave with the motivation and confidence to apply for a volunteer position and to continue learning in the field of cooperation and humanitarian action.» – Participant MA21

These trainings are part of a European programme implemented by a consortium composed of Lattanzio KIBS, Punto Sud, IECAH, Bioforce, and the Institute for International Law of Peace and Armed Conflict (IFHV), in collaboration with the European Education and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA). Its goal: to train around one thousand volunteers to take part in humanitarian missions across different global contexts.

IECAH is now preparing to complete the final training session of 2025 and to launch new editions in 2026, reinforcing its commitment to training a new generation of professionals dedicated to cooperation and humanitarian action.
