IECAH concludes five editions of 2024 training courses for European Solidarity Corps Volunteers
IECAH has completed five of the face-to-face trainings for European Solidarity Corps humanitarian aid volunteer candidates for 2024. To date, around 100 candidates have participated in these five editions.
As usual, the training took place at the Sagrados Corazones residence, located in San Lorenzo del Escorial, and was given by a team of trainers composed of IECAH staff and external consultants specialised in project management, interculturality, security and gender issues.
‘I really enjoyed the course and learned a lot. I found the trainers very nice, and they transmitted all the information in a very easy to understand way and I was delighted to know their experiences in the field and learn from them’. – Participant MA13
‘It has been a very interesting course, the subject matter is adapted to young people who want to learn about projects, regardless of their previous studies. In my case, it has helped me to deepen my knowledge and I have taken notes of each class and materials to continue studying. I am very happy and motivated to start a new stage as an expatriate’. – Participant MA13
These training courses are implemented by a consortium made up of Lattanzio KIBS, Punto Sud, IECAH, Bioforce and the Institute for International Law of Peace and Armed Conflict (IFHV) in collaboration with the European Agency for Education and Culture (EACEA), which plans to train around a thousand volunteers to apply for volunteer positions in different parts of the world. Some of the participants of the first editions have already been deployed to their destinations by their sending organisations.
In the remainder of 2024, IECAH will run two more editions to close the year, training in total almost 150 participants.
