IECAH has completed the first three face-to-face trainings for candidates for the European Solidarity Corps 2025 Humanitarian Aid Volunteers. In total, around 75 candidates have participated in these first three editions.
As usual, the training took place at the Sagrados Corazones residence, located in San Lorenzo del Escorial, and was given by a team of trainers composed of IECAH staff and external consultants specialized in project management, interculturality, security and gender issues.

‘I have loved everything. Very well-prepared professionals and above all with a desire to teach and share. Thank you for everything! I leave with a lot of learning; I feel that I have done an intensive course in humanitarian aid and cooperation studies that will help me to continue in this world with a very global image of the sector’. – Participant MA17
These training courses are implemented by a consortium made up of Lattanzio KIBS, Punto Sud, IECAH, Bioforce and the Institute for International Law of Peace and Armed Conflict (IFHV) in collaboration with the European Agency for Education and Culture (EACEA), which plans to train around a thousand volunteers to apply for volunteer positions in different parts of the world. Some of the participants of the first editions have already been deployed to their destinations by their sending organisations.
Three more training courses will be completed in Madrid over the course of 2025.
