Protection
The protection component has been part of humanitarian action since its inception, but, unfortunately, it has been forgotten on numerous occasions due to exclusively welfare-oriented approaches. The emphasis on protection has been retrieved in recent years and most humanitarian initiatives, led by the Sphere Project, adopt it, although it is still a subject of debate. At the IECAH we address protection as a matter of vital importance for humanitarian action and peacebuilding.
