We are facing a situation where addressing these challenges requires solidarity and the involvement of a multitude of actors beyond those traditionally present in humanitarian emergency response.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">An example of this is the war in Ukraine and the active response from civil society to aid the most affected populations. In the case of Spain, contributions from the private sector to support the Ukrainian population, ranging from banks to small corporate foundations, have reached unprecedented levels. This behavior has also been reflected in other areas, such as donations to address other emergencies around the world, partnerships with humanitarian NGOs, volunteer programs, and more direct actions from the private sector to address humanitarian needs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Therefore, in the context of growing needs, it is essential to gain a deeper understanding of the role that the Spanish private sector has played and can play in addressing these needs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"c-title-2 wp-block-heading\"><strong>What will we investigate?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The study has the following objectives:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Analyze the current involvement of the private sector in Spain in humanitarian action.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Identify the impact and forms of collaboration between the Spanish private sector and humanitarian organizations in response to humanitarian crises and emergencies.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Identify the incentives and benefits for both the private sector and the humanitarian sector regarding their collaboration.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Propose recommendations to strengthen collaboration between the private sector and humanitarian organizations in the country.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The research team will use a participatory approach for the study, including conducting interviews and surveys with relevant actors from the private sector. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>For more information, you can contact the study&#8217;s researcher, Andr\u00e9s G\u00f3mez (<a href=\"mailto:andres.gomez@iecah.org\">andres.gomez@iecah.org<\/a>).<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>What is the study&#8217;s theme?
